Overgrown hedges steal light, eat into your garden and make a property look neglected. We cut and shape hedges for homes, landlords and businesses, from low garden borders to tall boundary screens, and we take every cutting away with us.

What is included

• Privet, laurel, leylandii, beech, hornbeam, yew, box and mixed hedging
• Reduction of overgrown hedges back to a manageable height and width
• Formal shaping: flat tops, straight sides and clean lines
• High and wide hedges cut using suitable access equipment
• All trimmings bagged and removed, with the patio and borders swept afterwards
• One-off cuts, annual cuts or regular scheduled visits

When is the best time to cut a hedge?

Most hedges do well with one or two cuts a year. A main cut in late summer suits many garden hedges, and fast growers such as privet and leylandii often need a second tidy. We will tell you what your hedge needs rather than sell you visits it does not.

Bird nesting season

Wild birds are protected while nesting, and the main nesting period runs from roughly March to August. If we find an active nest we will not cut that section. This keeps you on the right side of the law and keeps the wildlife safe.

Overgrown hedge? Reduce it or remove it

Some hedges can be cut back hard and will recover. Others are better replaced. We will give you an honest view, and if removal makes more sense we also offer hedge removal.
